Ruth writes: “I initially wrote this piece for Marcello Maio on piano accordion and The Song Company – with 6 vocal parts. Marcello had such beautiful freedom as he played, and this lullaby rocks between two chords for most of the song. In this performance below (recorded in Angel Place in Sydney), the singers performed this as an encore and exited the stage during the final section. The last phrase was sung by the women off-stage. It was lovely.”
With a new tune to the classic carol Silent Night, this piece will suit choirs with more female/treble voices than male. Please note, the recording below is slightly different to the score.
