Description
Adapted from this sea shanty where the sailors long for the bell to mark the end of their shift so that they can get down below before the storm hits, this folksong conveys a similar energy in the form of the shearing competition.
It’s all speed and sound as the men eye each other and race to be the quickest! This piece was originally written for the Song Company in 2012 and is also available in SSATBarB, and SATB with piano.
Audio demo kindly provided by the Birralee Blokes – performed at their 10th year Anniversary concert.
