Description

A strong and simple song named after the Canowindra fish fossil. “Guya” is “fish” in Wiradjuri, and Canowindra is an historic township in New South Wales. The present and the past are connected in this evidence of life transfixed in stone. The video below is a community choir giving a live performance, and the audio track is courtesy of Education Queensland’s “SingFest!” 2023, conducted by Kylie Los.
