Description

Written for the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs in 2017 and based on excerpts from Beau Taplin’s texts, this piece features both the warmth and destruction of the flames of the heart. As one commentator wrote of Taplin’s work: “If the flame is a metaphor for love, then Playing with Fire is the white gauze for singed hands and seared hearts.” Beautiful and emotive, this song is suitable for adult choirs.
