Description

Michael writes; ‘The Reverend William Porter-Young, a family friend, worked for the Uniting Church in the inner west of Sydney. A native Scotsman, he wrote lyric poetry inspired by the craft of Robbie Burns. We collaborated on several occasions, and ‘Tartan Fairies’ was written in 1983 for my daughter Emily, when she was as toddler. He gifted me poems to set to music.’ This song is also available for male voices as TBarB.
