Ross writes: This work was commissioned for Methodist Ladies’ College Chorale in Western Australia and their director Dr Robert Faulkner for the 2020 World Choir Games in Flanders, Belgium. The commission is generously supported by the Methodist Ladies’ College Friends of Music.
Methodist Ladies’ College, Claremont WA is built upon land whose traditional custodians are the Mooro people of the Whadjuk Noongar nation. The College acknowledges those custodians and pays respect to elders past and present. It has named its Early Learning Centre spaces with words from the Whadjuk Noongar language featured in this work.
